SERVICES
Cineaste Restoration employs the state-of-the-art Diamant Film Restoration Suite in all of its projects, and offers the following services:
IMAGE CLEAN-UP
Many companies think they can get by when they put out raw transfers, but in the high-definition/Blu-Ray era, the audience will always notice when restoration hasn’t been done. Cineaste offers image clean-up and dust-busting that will make the most meticulous improvements to your project. Dirt, dust, lines, scratches, and cue marks will all be taken care of, and we’ll take special care to prevent any digital artifacting.
COLOR CORRECTION
Image a little too muddy? Colors a little too hot? Cineaste will fix that for you, and stick to any guidelines provided.
STABILIZATION
Older films tend to be a little on the shaky side, and even the best scan is not immune to a little image warping. Cineaste can fix most distracting warps and jumps, and provide the steadier presentation your project deserves.
FLICKER REMOVAL
Cineaste has found that older film, particularly black-and-white, could benefit from flicker removal. It is disheartening when an otherwise beautiful restoration has distracting flicker and varying levels. Cineaste can fix that using frame referential software and make even the most unsalvageable film vastly improved.
RATES
Please write to us to enquire about rates for our services. Specify what the project is, the length of the film, what you need done, and what your timeline and deadline is.
SPECIFICATIONS
Cineaste can work with just about any file type. Apple ProRes 422 HQ seems to be the codec of choice, but DPX and TIFF sequences are a must for projects that require lossless quality.
Client will need to provide Cineaste with storage for the files (either with a physical hard drive, or online) and pay all shipping costs.
Cineaste can handle all projects that are 1080p, 2K, or 4K resolution.
