Cineaste Restoration has worked on prestige releases from many leading home video labels and companies. This credits list will give you an idea of our range and status in the film restoration community.

All of the following were for Blu-Ray releases unless otherwise noted. Titles are listed by company and client, and each will fully endorse Cineaste’s professionalism and expertise, and our ability to deliver on-time and on-budget.

Fabulous Fleischer Cartoons Restored

Since 2021, Cineaste Restoration has been supervising the restoration of the animated library of Fleischer films (Betty Boop, Ko-Ko the Clown, Popeye the Sailor, and Superman), in association with the Fleischer family and Paramount Pictures. This ongoing project now includes 90 shorts and continues to grow as we screen these in theaters around the world and explore options in streaming, broadcast, and home video. The Criterion Collection

In 2016, Cineaste’s Thad Komorowski worked in-house at Criterion as a restoration artist with their team on the following titles (listed by spine #):

Fabulous Fleischer Cartoons Restored

Cineaste is proud to have a lead role in the initiative run by Jane Reid (Max Fleischer’s daughter) that seeks to restore the works of the Fleischer Studio to its fully animated glory, in association with Paramount Pictures, UCLA Film & Television Archive, and various institutions worldwide. Currently, these films are being exhibited in theaters across the country and airing on MeTV. Titles include:

Jeff Joseph currently holds the theatrical rights to the classic Laurel & Hardy comedies and has been working tirelessly with UCLA Film & Television Archive and the Library of Congress to preserve the duo’s legacy. Most are available on DVD and Blu-Ray on Laurel & Hardy: The Definitive Restorations from Sprocket Vault, and are currently available as DCPs through Mr. Joseph. Cineaste Restoration did digital restoration on the following titles:
